Do I need trucking experience to become a freight dispatcher?
No experience required. Our Freight Dispatch Training program is designed to take complete beginners from zero to job-ready. We cover everything from how loads are moved to carrier setup, rate negotiation, and how to find your first client. Many of our graduates had no trucking background at all.
How long does the training take and is it online?
Yes. PRO Freight Dispatch and IFTA are taught live online. Safety & Compliance is available either live on Zoom or in person at the DTC office in Schaumburg. Check each program page for current dates, times, and format options.
Can I work from home as a freight dispatcher?
Absolutely. Freight dispatching is one of the best remote business opportunities in trucking. With a computer, phone, and load board subscription, you can run a legitimate dispatching business from home. Our training covers everything you need to launch and scale your dispatch operation.
What's the difference between the individual courses and the Mastery Bundle?
Each course targets a specific role: Freight Dispatch for dispatchers & owner-operators, Safety Manager for DOT compliance officers, and IFTA/Permits for back-office.
