Session 1 — Driver Standards and Testing Requirements
This session covers the federal regulations that govern who can drive a commercial vehicle and under what conditions.
FMCSA Part 380 — Special Training Requirements: Entry-level driver training (ELDT) requirements, what carriers must document, and how ELDT records are maintained.
FMCSA Part 382 — Controlled Substances and Alcohol Testing: Pre-employment testing requirements, random testing programs, reasonable suspicion procedures, post-accident testing, return-to-duty requirements, and how to maintain a compliant drug and alcohol testing program.
FMCSA Part 383 — Commercial Driver's License Standards: CDL classifications (A, B, C), endorsements, disqualifying offenses, and what carriers must verify when hiring a CDL driver.
Session 2 — Motor Carrier Operations and Driver Qualifications
This session covers the operational requirements for running a compliant motor carrier.
